The heart behind IMMERSED is to provide students with a tangible experience.
This isn’t a workshop where you sit for 5 hours in a classroom taking notes.
The workshop is divided equally between teaching & discussion, experiencing the culture and place, teaching shoots where students can practice new techniques or new ways of seeing things, and portfolio building shoots where you actually have time to create something you are proud of.
Our first workshop was in Morocco. We spend 3 days in Marrakech exploring the city and palaces, eating new food, shopping in the souks, teaching and discussion in our beautiful Riad, and styled shoots in 2 locations that you would likely shoot in if you were hired for a wedding in Marrakech. We then drove 12 hours through the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert where we glamped in tents under the stars, rode camels into the dunes, and spend our nights sitting around a fire. We practiced shooting in mid-day harsh sun, discussed some of our biggest fears and what is holding us back in our businesses, and spent our last night shooting a beautiful couple riding a camel into the Sahara.
Everyone left feeling like family, refreshed and inspired, and ready to take on destination weddings & elopements anywhere in the world.
