One of my favorite days.
I met Rachel + James last year at the coffee shop where they had their first date and within minutes I knew that these two were the most carefree + intentional couple who wanted a wedding that reflected exactly who they are and did away with all the disconnected traditions that weddings so often are dictated by.
They had a small pop-up ceremony in the Santa Barbara mountains where they had spent so much time together and ended the day at their friends house, a place where they had many gatherings over the years. It was all so perfectly them. They created the time + space for the people closest to them to not just celebrate their commitment to each other, but to be a community of loved ones who love + support each other.
Thank you for being you, and for letting me capture that. Love you guys.
This is the song their friends played during the ceremony.
Check out another wedding here that incorporated a similar vibe in their small, intimate wedding, personalizing every detail of the day to what was most significant to them and in a drop dead gorgeous place.
