An adventurous anniversary shoot in Iceland.
Long summer nights on the Columbia River Gorge
Baylee is a friend and fellow photographer in Portland and it was such a treat to capture her and her husband along the Gorge, near the place where they were married just 1 short year ago. Places are so significant to me and when I get to infuse their story in a love story, I feel everything.
What can I even say about these two.
They reached out to me last year to do an in-home anniversary session and their home was a really significant place for them that they wanted to capture. They have been remodeling and pouring every extra second of their lives into this amazing place that you are about to see. We started the evening at their favorite nursery, a place where they have spent so much time together gathering little pieces to bring into their home. Then we spent the last bit of the day exploring their amazing back yard with a veggie garden, swing set, coy pond, rabbits, greenhouse, fire pit, gazebo, beach volleyball, you name it, it's there. I could have stayed out there for forever. This home, this life that these two have built together, was such an honor to capture. Happy 15 years.
In January, Rich and I went on an adventure of a lifetime. Patagonia is a place that I have heard of and knew it was as beautiful as ever, but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine myself actually going there. After long days and multiple flights, we finally made it to the most southern part of the world I had ever been to and our flight landed right next to the craziest blue lake with glaciers, mountains, and alpacas running around. It's pretty surreal.
Whit + Garrett
I spent the weekend in Seattle with these two,
hanging around with their two cute little girls
and the most adorable dog I have ever seen.
We stayed up late drinking wine + talking about life and photography.
The next morning we spent the day finding good light around their sweet little home,
and ended the day in a snowball fight in the mountains.
I left this weekend feeling so encouraged, refreshed, and inspired.
Thank you Whit + Garrett for inviting me into you home, and into your lives. I am so grateful for you both!
These two just got married and yes they are just as fun as they look. Spent the morning around their amazing LA home, playing with their sweet little dogs, hanging in the hammock, and cuddling on the couch. The perfect start to a Sunday.
One of the most meaningful shoots I've ever been a part of. Erin + Dirk spent 10 days adventuring around Iceland for a belated honeymoon/anniversary and asked if I could come out and capture their vow renewal - I couldn't have been more excited. Dreams came true in every way for me here, flying to Iceland, hanging out with the sweetest couple in the world, complete creative freedom, and honestly just the best few days spent together.
Jessica and Critty are amazing photographers based out of South Carolina and decided to come to Oregon for a much needed vacation to celebrate their anniversary. These two had never been out to the area, so hiking through the lush PNW forest was quite the experience in itself and this was before we stood under this massive waterfall cascading off a cliff as a little sliver of sunshine peaked through illuminating the falls for 10 minutes. It was just incredible.
Hung out with these two adventurers while they were camping up in the mountains in Northern California. Getting outdoors is one of the most rejuvenating things for me, and I wanted to capture a couple in their element, without any bells or whistles, just in the simplicity of being outside together. There's no fancy dress, no fluff, no need for these photos to be used for anything, just for the simple fact of capturing your love, exactly where you are at.
